Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-11-03
This Privacy Policy explains how Voice Isolator ("we", "us") at voice-isolator.com collects, uses and protects information when you use the site.
Who we are
Voice Isolator is run by the Voice Isolator team, which is the controller of the personal data described in this policy. You can reach us about privacy at hello@voice-isolator.com.
Information we collect
- Content you enter into the tool. Only the sound of your file is uploaded for processing. Uploaded audio and separated tracks are temporarily stored in private Cloudflare R2 storage. Results are available for download for 24 hours; uploaded audio and results are automatically deleted within two days. Access is restricted to your browser session or account. Task records can remain after the audio is deleted; the original file name is removed from them 2 days after the job finishes or fails. To produce AI results, it is sent to Modal (models: BS-RoFormer, MossFormerGAN), which process it on our behalf.
- Account and email. When you sign in or buy, we store your email address and account records so we can send sign-in links, receipts and the messages you ask for.
- Usage counts. To enforce daily usage limits and prevent abuse, we count uses per day against a one-way hash of your IP address and a random identifier stored in a cookie. We do not store your IP address itself in these counts, and the key used to create the hash is deleted after 2 days.
- Usage data. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google Analytics loads only after you click "Accept", to understand how the site is used (pages visited, approximate location, device and browser type). Google Analytics uses a pseudonymous identifier stored in the _ga cookies for traffic reports. You can withdraw your consent at any time from "Cookie preferences" in the footer; we then delete the _ga cookies. Outside these regions, statistics are enabled by default and can be disabled in Cookie preferences. If we cannot determine your country, statistics stay off until you accept. An existing rejection remains valid when you change region.
- Visit sources. We store the referring domain, campaign tags and landing page path in this browser and a first-party cookie for up to 90 days to understand how visitors find us. We do not store full referring URLs, search terms or file contents in this record. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, and when your country is unknown, this starts only after you accept statistics; withdrawing consent clears these browser records. At registration and checkout, we may associate a source snapshot with your account and order, kept with those records. You can request deletion by contacting us.
- Payment data. Payments are handled by our payment processor. We do not see or store your full card details; we receive only what is needed to confirm your purchase (such as email and order status).
Google sign-in
If you sign in with Google instead of an email link, we receive your verified email, name and profile picture to create or link your account. For new Google accounts, we store your email, name and profile picture. We use an essential session cookie for paid features. We do not store Google access, refresh or ID tokens. Use the same email as at checkout to see your credits. Outside the EEA, UK and Switzerland, if you are not signed in, our pages load Google's sign-in script after the page has finished loading, so Google can offer a "Continue as" prompt. Google may see your IP address and its own cookies when that script loads. If you close the prompt we do not show it again on this device for a day.
Strictly necessary cookie: aid
aid is a first-party, HttpOnly, Secure cookie used only to enforce free limits, prevent abuse and associate your anonymous tasks. It lasts for 30 days after its most recent use, including when an older cookie is renewed; the identifier stays the same so active tasks remain accessible. It is not used for analytics, advertising, profiles or cross-site attribution, and is not shared with third parties for those purposes. This necessary function does not depend on analytics consent; we rely on our legitimate interest in securing the requested service. Daily usage counts and IP hashes follow the shorter cleanup periods below; this browser-cookie period does not extend those records.
Account and diagnostic data retention
Sign-in sessions record your IP address and browser User-Agent to protect your account. The hourly clean-up and its periods are listed under “How long we keep data”. It keeps task status and payment and refund records, and does not delete your account, orders or credit ledger. Contact us to request deletion of account data.
Security diagnostics
Your browser may send security-policy violation reports to this site. Before logging, we discard full web addresses, script samples, IP addresses, browser User-Agent, cookies and submitted content. We retain only technical categories and counts in Cloudflare hosting logs for up to seven days. These reports are sampled, may be incomplete and are not used to identify visitors or create advertising profiles.
Cookies
Essential cookies (sign-in session, and cc_cookie that stores your cookie choice for 6 months) don't need consent; in the EEA, UK and Switzerland, statistics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) are set only after you click "Accept".
We use cookies to run the site and measure traffic. We do not show ads, and no advertising cookies are set. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
How we use information and our legal bases
We use information to provide and improve the tool, keep the site secure, and respond to your requests. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we rely on these legal bases:
- Providing the tool you ask for, your account and your purchases: performance of a contract with you.
- Keeping order and payment records: compliance with our legal obligations (tax and accounting).
- Analytics cookies: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- Security, abuse prevention, usage limits and answering your emails: our legitimate interests in running a safe and reliable service.
Service providers
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers below, who process it on our behalf to run the site, or when required by law:
- Cloudflare — website hosting, content delivery and security
- Google Analytics — traffic statistics
- Modal — processes the content you submit to produce your result
- Stripe — payments
- Google Sign-In — optional sign-in with your Google account
- Cloudflare Turnstile — bot checks that protect sign-in and free use
- Cloudflare Email Service — sign-in links and service emails
International transfers
Our service providers process data in the United States and other countries. When personal data from the EEA, the UK or Switzerland is transferred to a country without an adequacy decision, we rely on the provider's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (and its UK and Swiss extensions) or on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep data
We run an automatic clean-up of account and usage records every hour. Records become due for deletion at the times below; each run handles them in batches, so if many are due at once, the rest are handled in the following runs.
- Uploaded audio and separated tracks: results can be downloaded for 24 hours; uploads and results are deleted automatically within 2 days.
- Account: until you ask us to delete it.
- Sign-in sessions and verification tokens: deleted by the hourly clean-up once they expire.
- Rate-limiting records: deleted once they are more than 24 hours old.
- Daily usage counters, and the daily rotating value used to pseudonymise them: kept only for the current and previous day (UTC), 2 days in total.
- IP address and browser user agent linked to a sign-in session: removed 90 days after the session was created.
- File name and file fingerprint of finished or failed processing jobs: removed 2 days after the job's last update.
- Orders, payment and credit records: kept while your account exists and afterwards for as long as needed to handle refunds, payment disputes and our legal obligations.
- Google Analytics data: at most 14 months.
- Visit sources: up to 90 days in your browser; a snapshot linked to an account or order is kept with that record.
- Emails you send us: as long as needed to handle your request and keep a record of it.
Deletion typically completes within 24 hours after these periods end.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you can ask us to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and you can withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Email hello@voice-isolator.com to make a request; we reply within one month. If you are in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
California residents
In the last 12 months we collected these categories of personal information: identifiers (such as email address, the IP address of your sign-in session, cookie identifiers and a one-way hash of your IP address), commercial information (purchases), internet activity (pages visited and how the tool is used), approximate location, and the content you choose to process. We collect it from you, your browser and our service providers, and use it for the purposes described above.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. California residents can ask to know, delete or correct their personal information by emailing hello@voice-isolator.com. We will not treat you differently for using these rights.

If you are in India, you can raise a grievance about how we handle your data by emailing hello@voice-isolator.com. If you are in Japan, note that the purposes above are the purposes of use of your personal information, and that our service providers are mainly located in the United States.

This site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
